The ArcGIS Desktop Foundational Training series contains three instructor-led courses:
• ArcGIS Desktop I: Getting Started with GIS (Formerly "Learning GIS Using ArcGIS Desktop" in 9.2) is designed for those with no GIS background or exposure. This course provides a foundation for understanding what GIS is and why organizations are using it
• ArcGIS Desktop II: Tools and Functionality (Formerly "Introduction to ArcGIS I" in 9.2) is designed for those with some exposure to GIS through education or workplace experience. This course teaches the range of functionality available in ArcGIS Desktop and the essential tools for visualizing, creating, managing, and analyzing geographic data. Prior ArcGIS Desktop experience is helpful but not required.
• ArcGIS Desktop III: GIS Workflows and Analysis (Formerly "Introduction to ArcGIS II" in 9.2) is designed for those with both GIS and ArcGIS Desktop specific experience. This course shows how to apply GIS tools to solve geographic problems, with a focus on working with data stored in a geodatabase and performing geoprocessing and analysis.

An ESRI developed course, Introduction to ArcGIS 9.2 will be held on Sept. 25th and 26th, 2008 at the City of Greenville, SC. You will receive an ESRI developed course manual and the course will be taught by Carmen Durham, an ESRI Authorized Instructor for this course.
Location of class: City Hall, 3rd floor Conference Room (City of Greenville, SC)
Date: Sept. 25-26, 2008
Time: 8:15 am - 5:00 pm
Cost: $500 (If you were to attend this course in ESRI's Charlotte training facility, the cost would be $900+ plus travel!) Deadline for registration: Friday, Sept 5, 2008.
